Installing WP1099 Plugin
Installing the WP1099 Connect plugin is just as easy as installing any other WordPress plugin.
Download the WP1099 Plugin
If you haven't already, click here (link opens in new tab) and click the purchase button.
Once you complete the purchase process, you will receive an email containing a link to download the plugin as well as your license key. You will need the license key to activate the plugin once it is installed.
After downloading the plugin, login to the site where you want to activate WP1099.
Install WP1099 Plugin
When you log into your site, go to the Plugins > Add New menu. Then click the Upload Plugin button. Use the file uploader to find the WP1099 plugin that you saved on your computer. Then click the Install Now button.
Once the plugin is installed, click the Activate Plugin button.
Activate WP1099 License
Once the plugin is activated, click on WP1099 on the left side menu in your WordPress administrative area.
This is where you will enter your license key for the plugin.
- Copy your license key from the purchase confirmation email, or from your account area.
- Paste it into the box at the top of the WP1099 Settings screen and click the Save License button.
Click the Activate License button.
Once your license is activated, you should see a green "Your license is valid." notice.
Set the Tax Year
This setting allows you to see reports from prior tax years (if available). You will need to select the current tax year here in order to see this year's payouts in the Payouts tab.
Simply click the drop-down menu and select the current tax year, or whichever year you want to view the payouts for (i.e. 2017, 2018, etc.). Click Save Changes once you have selected the correct year. You can change this setting at any time.
Your Business Information
Below the Tax Year, there are a number of fields that ask for information about your business. This information will be used to populate the CSV export file that is generated on the Payouts tab.
Enter the information as appropriate, and click the Save Changes button. You shouldn't have to update this information again unless any of your business information changes. If it does, simply update these fields and save your changes.
